Our Values

We believe meeting practical needs and feeding people in need is one way we can show the love of Christ and build trusting relationships with people in our community.


                                                                                           We are not an emergency organization.  However, should an emergency arise between service days, families within our community who are in immediate need will be provided food after assessment by calling (205) 534-3104.

Hours of Operation

Open to neighbors living in the Samantha Community on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

We are located in Samantha, Alabama approximately 2 miles north of Northside High School on Highway 43 North between mile markers 216 and 217.

Mission


The Little Closet Community Food Pantry is dedicated to providing for the needs of hungry people by collecting and distributing food and grocery products, educating the community about hunger, and collaborating with others who address basic human needs.

Requirements

Photo ID and proof of residence such as power bill, phone bill, etc. is required  to receive services.  Anyone who purposely gives false information will no longer be allowed to receive services.  Due to limited financial resources, we can only provide for those living within the service area.

Service Area

Primary focus is the Samantha Community within an approximate 5 mile radius of the pantry

Our Vision

We envision a community where everyone has access to sufficient nutritious food.  We seek to bring a measure of love and peace through sharing the blessings of food and other resources with those who need a hand-up.  We see in our neighbors the face of God and act with resolve to insure that basic needs of life are met as instructed in Matthew 25:37-40:  Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? …And the King [Jesus] will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.
